Jeff Tietz

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jeff Tietz now lives in Austin, Texas. He holds an MFA in literary nonfiction from Columbia University. Three of his articles have been nominated for the National Magazine Award; one has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. He has been a National Magazine Award finalist and Livingstone Journalism Award finalist. His work has appeared in the anthologies Best American Magazine Writing and Best American Crime Writing. His Rolling Stone article 'Boss Hog' won the Genesis Award in 2006.
